Ryan Jensen vs Steve Steinbeiss bout cancelled for Fight Night 18 (Updated)
The 185-pound scrap between UFC middleweights Ryan Jensen and Steve Steinbeiss scheduled for UFC Fight Night 18: “Condit vs Kampmann” on April 1 from the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee, has been canceled after Jensen failed to obtain the proper medical clearance to compete.

Bobby Lashley to appear as special guest at “XFC 8: Regional Conflict”
While original reports surrounding XFC 8 centered on a possible
showdown between former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley and former
NFL player Marcus Jones, the organization has announced the
night’s main event will instead feature an XFC title fight between
featherweights Jarrod Card and Bruce Connors.
Lashley will be on hand as a special guest and will present the newly created title belt to the victor.
“XFC 8: Regional Conflict” is scheduled for April 25 at the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tenn., and will air live on HDNet.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – MMAjunkie.com was on scene for today’s UFC Fight Night 18 weigh-ins at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tenn.
The same venue hosts tomorrow’s Spike TV-televised event, which features a headline bout between UFC welterweight contender Martin Kampmann and WEC champ Carlos Condit.
While the proceedings went smoothly, one pair of combatants missed weight, while a second set of competitors waited until after the formal proceedings to make their bout official.

Herring vs. Velasquez, Al Turk vs. Duffee officially added to UFC 99
Two heavyweight contests that had been widely rumored in recent weeks for the UFC’s first trip to Germany were officially added to the UFC 99 card today by the organization.
Heath Herring vs. Cain Velasquez and Mustapha Al Turk vs. Todd Duffee were officially announced on the UFC’s U.K. website.
UFC 99 is slated for June 13 at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany,
and features a main event of Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva at 195
pounds
Despite prelim-card slot, Brock Larson looking to shine at UFN 18
It’s hard to imagine another fighter with a 24-2 record gaining less notoriety than the UFC’s Brock Larson.
Despite building a 4-1 record in the WEC, Larson will find himself well hidden on the preliminary card when he returns to the UFC for the first time since December 2006 at Wednesday’s UFN 18 in Nashville, Tenn.
Preparing to face Jesse Sanders, Larson recently told MMAjunkie.com Radio that he’s used to the relative anonymity.
